"VALUE"
Insurance for letters and parcels was available at 2 1/2 cents for each 100 guilders (gld. /f) of value. The rate was introduced on March 3, 1921 and was in effect until September 31, 1948.
The examples shown below are of registered, insured letters. The value of the contents was written on the front of the envelope (number and numeral). A Waarde (value) sticker was affixed to insured mail.
